Seneca Holdings is seeking a Business Development Analyst.This is ahybrid role out of our Chantilly, VA office.

The Business Development Analyst will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of Business Development Operations projects. The person in this role will work closely with the Business Development Project Manager, members of the Business Development Operations team, and corporate stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within scope and on time. The Business Development Analyst should possess government contracting knowledge and demonstrable experience in project scheduling. The person in this role will support the Business Development Project Management Office (PMO) with meeting minutes, document management and Business Development artifact tracking. The primary responsibilities for this position will include:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Project Manager and other internal departments to establish assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
  • Monitor and follow up on project timelines and deadlines.
  • Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate intervention in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate performance and prepare project progress reports.
  • Accommodate updates and changes to project schedules.
  • Recommend actions to keep projects completed on time.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines.
  • Document project scheduling processes and maintaining records.
  • Provides project status reports during weekly team meetings.
  • Participates in project status preparation meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and document and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Maintain an effective SharePoint document structure.
  • Follow project management standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of company values and Business Development Strategic Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in project scheduling, planning, and coordination.
  • Ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization.

Experience Required

  • 2-3 years project scheduling experience
  • 2-3 years project management experience
  • Business development experience preferred
  • Background in federal government contracting
