The position is located in the Facility Operations Section, Facility Services Division, Integrated Support Services Directorate, Chief Operating Officer. The Manager works under the general supervision of the Chief, Facility Services who provides broad policy guidance, and direction. Incumbent is responsible for the overall daily leadership and direction of Facility Operations under Facility Services.

Program responsibilities include customer oversight of 4 million square feet of real property on Capitol Hill and an additional 1.5 million square feet of real property off campus, to include General Services Administration (GSA) leased facilities and decentralized Federal property. Incumbent leads the collaborative activities of other Facility Services sections, Architect of the Capitol (AOC), GSA and other agencies to resolve building operational concerns. Incumbent ensures that safety and operational facility services are carried out responsibly and efficiently and in full accord with all Library governing laws, policies, and regulations.
