The Talent Management and Organization Development Sr. Specialist is responsible for partnering with the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and the Learning and Organization Development team to design, development, implement, and evaluate talent management and learning and organization development programs.

How will you make an impact?

Talent Management Support
  • Leads the planning and implementation of key talent management programs, which includes but is not limited to: employee engagement surveys, goal setting, performance management, talent calibration, succession planning.

  • Partners closely with the HRBPs and other members of the HR team to implement key talent management processes.

  • Partners closely with HR team members to monitor, review, and enhance the design, development, and implementation of talent management practices based on feedback and in support of continuous improvement.

  • Provides project management, change management, education (e.g. training, job aids) and communications support to talent management programs.

Learning and Organization Development Support
  • Partners closely with the Learning and Development Team to conduct organizational assessments, analyzing data, and making recommendations, developing, and implementing strategies.

  • Contributes to the design, development, implementation, and facilitation of learning and organization development programs and activities such as creating a learning culture, supervisor development, leadership development, mentoring, core curriculum, and team retreats.

  • Builds, coaches, and facilitates effective teams through the use of tools, team building activities, and supporting leaders in creating an engaged work environment.

  • Provides project management, change management, and communications support to learning and organization development programs.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organization Development, or a related field.

  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in HR, learning and development, organization development, or a related field.

  • Certifications/Specialized Skills:

  • Proven success designing, developing, and implementing talent management and/or learning and organization development programs.

  • Instructional design and development experience and skills, which includes familiarity with the ADDIE model.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Change management skills.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Consultation skills.

Remote Work Eligibility

This position is eligible for remote work within the Washington DC / Baltimore metro area only.

Compensation Grade Range and Mid-Point

Grade Range:$77,300.00 - $143,500.00/ Grade Mid-Point:$110,400.00

The above annual compensation range and mid-point are general guidelines. For candidates who meet the criteria, the AAMC's compensation philosophy is to target the midpoint of the salary range. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.

If a bachelor's degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
