Communications Specialist

The Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to share your knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll use your consulting skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that helps the defense industry solve their traditional business challenges through effective digital communication execution.

As a communications specialist on our team, you'll develop creative solutions to transform our client's internal and external communications materials and mediums through elevated messaging. Using data visualization, you'll work alongside key stakeholders and other consultants to share your expertise on strategic messaging and implement transformative standalone products for distribution. As the organizational advisor of all aspects of communications, you'll develop and manage internal and external communication materials across print and digital mediums. Work with us to ensure our client accomplishes its goals through effective communication as we implement new solutions to change their customer service for the better.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience in assisting with the development of recommended and required program documentation and products according to DoD regulations and directives

  • Experience with serving as an advisor to upper-level management

  • Experience with developing products, presentations, and materials to communicate clearly and effectively on research findings and technical developments to a wide range of audiences

  • Experience with using the advanced features of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams

  • Experience in providing management with recommendations to improve initiatives and strategic plans through data visualization

  • Knowledge of product delivery methods, including electronic and print

  • Knowledge of exercising quality control over documentation intended for both internal and external distribution

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with adapting to deadlines, schedules, and priorities while maintaining high quality standards and a professional demeanor

  • Knowledge of how to analyze technical literature, write descriptive copy, and verify documentation

  • Ability to provide technical editing and data visualization support

  • Ability to revise illustrations in Adobe Illustrator or MS PowerPoint

  • Ability to request, develop, and administer product development sites in the SharePoint and MS Teams environments

  • Ability to be a proactive, self-starter requiring minimal supervision

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure, to give direction in both written and verbal formats

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
