Description

The American Psychiatric Association Foundation's (APAF) Center for Workplace Mental Health is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Intern who is passionate about workplace mental health and well-being and is eager to gain real-world experience working for a non-profit organization.

The Center Intern role will focus on developing best practices for corporate wellness, through research, interviews with corporate leaders, and case statements.

Research and contact hospitals and health systems nationwide to disseminate

Frontline Connect Toolkit and practices.

Supporting the implementation of new processes, systems, or initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Taking on special projects or assignments to gain hands-on experience and demonstrate leadership potential.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Enrolled in graduate program

Interest in mental health, substance use disorders, or healthcare

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Attention to detail

Capable of independent decision-making and taking initiative

Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively

Applicants must be willing to commit to 20 - 40 hours per week for a 2-month internship period. The Center for Workplace Mental Health Intern will be paid between $20-25 an hour.
