Incumbent is the Support Team primary point of contact for implementation of the U.S. Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) for ships, craft, and ship systems under the responsibility of PMS 377 and PMS 317. Ship classes include new construction LHA, LPD, and variants of these designs. Craft classes include in-service and new construction LCAC and LCU. Incumbent should have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Candidate requires knowledge and experience in the following areas:
RMF and CYBERSAFE accreditation and authorization policies and procedures
U.S. Navy’s Systems Commands roles and responsibilities for ships, craft, and ship systems, including the relationship with PEOs
Ability to comfortably interact with senior program office and technical code personnel from various Navy activities on a regular basis
Organizing, planning, and executing meetings (e.g., LHA Cybersecurity IPT) with Government participants of diverse programmatic and technical backgrounds from NAVSEA, NAVWAR, NAVAIR and various Navy commands
Ability to maintain the “big picture” and formulate, and communicate, structured plans of action to address cybersecurity issues that arise
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology
Desired Experience and Skills:
Understanding of the Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) qualification requirements and application/assignment of NQVs to the various ships and systems under PMS 377 and PMS 317 cognizance
Technical understanding and experience of the ship design and construction process
Ability to interpret and evaluate Engineering Change Proposals, technical specifications, drawings, and test procedures
