Amy Chionchio was named president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Metro Milwaukee in September 2007. Her professional career includes more than 20 years of management experience in Milwaukee’s nonprofit arena. Recognized for outstanding leadership skills, Amy has built and managed integrated fundraising and marketing teams, established long-term and productive community/business partnerships, and executed solution-driven strategic and tactical plans. Prior to coming to BBBS, Amy served as vice president of marketing for Milwaukee’s United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), one of the largest arts funding organizations in the country.


The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Children in the program achieve educational success, avoid risky and violent behavior, and improve social and emotional skills.
