We are looking for an intern in the Chicago area who can work part-time in our headquarters during the school year and full-time during the summer 2022.

Job Description and Responsibilities

EVRAZ North America has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Intern in Chicago. This role will support our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Attention to detail, customer focus and information management are critical skills for this role. This position reports to the Senior HR Generalist.

  • Provide support on HR related inquiries or requests through verbal and written communication forms

  • Collaborate with other departments and vendors

  • Assist with the development and improvement of company policies and procedures

  • Support the Talent Acquisition process: draft requisitions, draft offer letters, process pre-employment and relocation

  • Budget and invoice tracking for the department

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, training and events

  • Maintain accurate and updated employee files in accordance with company policies and government regulations

  • Maintain compliance by organizing and maintaining all shared files/folders on cloud and network drives

  • Assist and provide administrative and logistical support with recruitment and onboarding

Requirements

  • Junior currently enrolled in a four year college or university or in a master's program with a preferred course of study in Human Resources Management

  • Minimum GPA of a 3.2

  • Intermediate to expert skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Knowledge of US labor laws

  • Results-driven attitude focused on execution and continuous improvement

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail required
